Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a specialized psychotherapy developed by Laney Rosenzweig, that uses eye movements to help reprocess sensations, feelings, and emotions by targeting distressing memories and images and how they are stored in the brain. By replacing these, they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions.
While often used for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, I have found ART helpful with grief, phobias, anxiety, and even building confidence.
ART can be done either as a stand alone treatment or in conjuction with regular therapy sessions.
